Description:
The artist Sylvia Hahn painted historical murals for the Armour Court, now the Samuel Hall-Currelly Gallery. To the spectators in this jousting scene she gave the faces of Museum staff members at the time (1943). From left to right: Mr. Fortune, Mr. Petrie, Bishop White, Mr. Menzies, Betty Brett, Ella Martin, Ruth Holme, Dr. Homer Thompson, Mr. Classey, Prof. T.V. McIlwraith, Charles T. Currelly, the first director of the Royal Ontario Museum of Archaeology, and Mary Campbell.
